Overall Job Objective

Position Description

There are multiple, temporary, grant-funded positions in the Community Action Agency section in the Department of Community & Workforce Development.  Must be willing to work in a fast pace environment to include nights and Saturdays with overtime as needed. OPEN UNTIL FILLED.

Salary Grade: U1

To address the overwhelming need for rental assistance, Pima County is utilizing CARES stimulus funds to immediately hire highly organized, compassionate, and persistent individuals to work directly with families in crisis to complete, process and fund their applications for assistance. Similar to a customer service call-center environment, work will primarily be conducted over the phone and via email with limited in-person interaction.  Essential duties will include contacting households that have previously submitted applications, in various states of completeness, and directly helping them to re-submit needed documentation to fund their request. Other responsibilities include data entry and working with various databases.  Each completed application ultimately injects much needed federal stimulus resources into our community, and most importantly, keeps families from being evicted and landlords paid, a win, win, win.  Ideal candidates will be community oriented, mission driven and have empathy to assist the clients. This classification is in the unclassified service and is exempt from the Pima County Merit System Rules.
