Outpatient Physical Therapy Technician

North Phoenix/Scottsdale Area

JOB SUMMARY

Works under direct supervision of licensed physical therapist for all of the following but not limited to:

*Application of basic modalities i.e. hot packs, cold packs, ultrasound, under direction of the PT

*Assists PT in carrying out various treatment procedures established by the therapist

*Light office work to include patient scheduling, filing of paperwork and answering phones

*Change linens, wash linens, cleans and maintains equipment and treatment area

*Correctly demonstrate exercises as instructed by the physical therapist

*Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

*Must be at least 18 years of age with minimum of high school diploma.

*Knowledge of exercise is a must.

*Candidate should be friendly, hard working, self motivated, show initiative and be able to work with patients of different backgrounds and beliefs.

* A physical therapy technician must have good observational and communications skills, reporting to the therapist patient response to treatment

*A physical therapy technician must have knowledge regarding exercise performance and the ability to correct positioning.

Training will be provided for the right candidate.
