Entry Level Machine Operator
The Entry Level Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating injection molding machines, in both semi-automatic and automatic runs, as well as any secondary equipment such as scrap grinders, material loaders, and etcetera (this does not include setting up, processing, or troubleshooting any equipment or machinery). This position also includes performing any finishing work on plastic parts as needed, including cutting, clipping, trimming, deburring and etcetera. The Operator is assigned varying tasks throughout their shift, which may change from day to day depending upon the jobs running. Tasks related to the assigned job(s) may include anything from the simple tasks recovering a part from a press and packaging, to the more complex tasks of trimming parts, fitting parts in fixtures, or taking care with special packaging.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: None required; High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred
Experience: None required; Light experience with manufacturing, manual labor, or in a warehouse environment is preferred
First Shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
Second Shift 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
Third Shift 10:00 pm to 6:30 am.
Constantly (Occupation requires this activity more than 66% of the time): Standing, Repetitive motion of both hands
Frequently (Occupation requires these activities from 33% to 66% of the time): Use of fine motor skills with hands (Squeezing clippers, gripping trimming knife, etcetera), Lifting 5-35 lbs below shoulders, Pushing/pulling 5-35 lbs, Tilting/turning head, Reaching

General Tools Used
Small and large hand clippers, Exacto knife: Daily, intermittently/constantly throughout shift depending upon assigned job
Tape gun, Box cutter, Hammer/mallet: Infrequently
Other Physical Requirements
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE): safety glasses, gloves, closed toe shoes
Production Floor: Dynamic, fast-paced indoor environment with numerous injection molding machines, support equipment, and secondary equipment. High volume of active personnel. Shock-absorbing mats are provided due to the continual need to stand in one place while operating a machine.
