DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
The Training Coordinator performs highly responsible and complex administrative work in planning, developing,
coordinating and implementing training programs and services, develops and evaluates training methodology and
curriculum content.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
0 Coordinate and provide training to clinical staff to help ensure a knowledge base of relevant subject matter.
0 Provide specialized training as needed, develop curriculum, provide basic orientation training for, and oversee
training records and participation in training programs.
0 Maintain documentation of all training attended, maintain training records, and ensure compliance withfederal, tribal and agency training requirements.Oversee the research, development and delivery of a comprehensive program of training courses.Set up trainings/workshops and coordinate instructor scheduling and facility availability.Develop, implement and/ or evaluate new and existing training programs.Communicate with diverse audiences to provide information and clari?cation regarding training programs.Coordinate efforts with other Community service providers, and participate in meetings and presentationswithin the Gila River Indian Community.
0 Perform other related duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:Knowledge of principles, training methods and techniques used in current training ?eld practices.
Knowledge of learning theory or principles as applies to adult training.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a variety of agencies and groups.
Ability to plan, direct and coordinate activities.Ability to express ideas clearly, both orally and in writing.Ability to produce and maintain accurate records.
0 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, Community Of?cials
and the general public.
0 Knowledge of child labor laws in regards to development and delivery of youth training programs.
0 Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position; agree to maintain a Drug-free workplace.REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:o Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Public Administration, Business Administration,
Education, Sociology, Psychology, or a closely related ?eld and three (3) years’ experience in the professional
development and planning of training programs, Or0 Associate’s degree from an accredited university in Public Administration, Business Administration,
Education, Sociology, Psychology, or a closely related field and five (5) years’ experience in the professional
development and planning of training programs.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
0 Required to pass a background check and f1ngerprint clearance as a condition of employment and must
continue to maintain throughout duration of employment. Background checks are required for positions that
involve regular contact with or control over Community Children in accordance with The Indian Child
Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act, 25 US. C. Sections 3201 through 3210 and C.F.R. Part 63
and positions that have regular contact with the Elderly.
0 Required to obtain a Tribal Driving permit. Valid state driver’s license with a current proof of driving
record for the past 39 months will be required to qualify for a tribal driving permit. Proof of driving
record must be submitted with application and must not be more than 60 days old from the date of
submission of the application.
0 Required mandatory reporter pursuant to Title 7, Chapter 2 (7.205), B.
0 Required to attend Title 7 Mandatory Reporting training on a yearly basis.Non-Supervisory, Salaried Position
