Tribal Driving Permit Required: YesDISTINGUSIHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:The Multimedia Specialist will provide professional quality graphics, designs, layouts, and illustrations to include
in the design, development, and support of various promotional material through multiple advertisement tools.
The position is responsible for interpreting the programs brand While creating high quality forms, prints, photos,
and videos. This includes creating and editing various types of documents, graphical elements, videos, and
surveys for use in internal and external client facing material. The Multimedia Specialist will create and provide
educational and informative outreach material for various programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
o Collaborate with program employees to design and develop department promotional materials such as ?yers,
brochures, newsletters, signage, calendars, surveys, and other outreach materials to the Gila River Indian
Community.
0 Collaborate with various departments such as: Communications & Public Affairs Office, Gila River Indian
News, Gila River Health Care, and other GRIC departments to ensure complete marketing and promotion.
0 Consults with program staff to determine media production needs and advises them regarding various aspects
of design, development and use of media.
0 Collaborate with program staff on a variety of projects and develop media project goals, objectives and
timetables for production.
0 Oversee, manage, and introduce social media outlets to provide advertisement, promotion and updates to the
Community though different multimedia channels.
0 Provide site visitation of onsite activity include special events, fitness classes, sports tournaments, and leagues
to gather marketing material (i.e. pictures, interview, etc.).
0 Perform other related duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:0 Comprehensive knowledge of computers including multiple computer software manuals and audio/video
recording manuals.
0 Knowledge of the method and techniques used in the production of media related projects.
0 Pro?ciency in multimedia development tools.
0 Skill for computing and designing with creative and artistic ?air.Understanding of color and form as it relates to overall look of the project and basic color correction
techniques.
0 Ability to be patient and provide attention to detail to provide complete interpretation of project.
0 Ability to both lead and follow detailed instructions.
0 Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
0 Ability to utilize personal computer and related software to fulfill job requirements.
0 Ability to coordinate media production work.
0 Ability and availability to work some evenings and weekends.o Skill establishing and maintaining positive and effective working relationships with GRIC
departments/organization, other tribal communities, public school systems, Community members and all
GRIC staff.
0 Skill developing audio and video educational visual aids.o Skill using audio and video equipment plus digital recorders.o Skill using scanners and digital cameras.
0 Skill and knowledge in utilizing various printers including knowledge of paper types.
0 Ability to implement and provide occasional re-structure of marketing and promotional processes.
0 Knowledge of culture, customs, traditions, history, and government of the Gila River Indian Community.REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:o Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Graphic Design, Multimedia Technology,
Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field and two (2) years’ experience in media production,
design, photography, journalism, public relations, and/or visual productions; Or0 High School diploma or GED and four (4) years’ experience in media production, design, photography,
journalism, public relations, and/or visual productions.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required to obtain a Tribal Driving permit. Valid state driver’s license with a current proof of driving record
for the past 39 months will be required to qualify for a tribal driving permit. Proof of driving record must be
submitted with application and must not be more than 60 days old from the date of submission of the
application.Non-Supervisory, Hourly Position
