Job Description

Family Support Resources, Inc. currently operates various youth residential facilities Valley wide. The different models include: rotating staff group homes, live-in house manager facilities, and transitional shelters. Our population consists of children ranging in age from birth to eighteen. The children are primarily high functioning but often have behavioral/mental health issues due to their background of abuse and/or neglect. Our homes are in residential areas and our goal is to make sure the children are living in a safe, healthy environment and that all of their needs are getting met.

We are currently looking for SECOND SHIFT STAFF to fill positions in our group homes and shelters. Second shift staff must be available to work  2-11pm or 3-11pm, including one day to come in early,  weekends and holidays depending on time of year.

We are currently hiring for OVERNIGHT STAFF to fill positions in our group homes and shelter. Overnight staff must me available to work 9pm-7am or 10pm-8am including weekends and holidays depending on the time of the year. 


Group Home Staff have the following responsibilities: supervising children at all times, ensuring the homes are always up to DCS and FSR licensing standards, participating in activities, accompanying children to appointments (doctor, dental, psych, etc.), administering medications, housekeeping, preparing/cooking meals and eating with the children, documentation of children's behavior and progress, following the ACYF Discipline policy, and striving to be an appropriate role model and caretaker.

Skill / Requirements

* Must be 21 years or older

* Minimum High School Diploma or GED

* Must have a MINIMUM 1 year of paid child care experience for children with behavioral challenges and an additional 1 year of any combination of the following: paid child care related experience; or post high school education in social work or a related field.

* Must possess a current DPS LEVEL ONE Fingerprint Clearance Card

* Must have a clean driving record and be approved to drive company vehicles.  

Important Notes

We will NOT accept applications from or interview persons without a current Level One fingerprint clearance card. Pending applications, renewals, expired cards are not applicable and will not be accepted. 

Applicants MUST have at least ONE YEAR PAID experience with children. Childcare experience such as parenting (your own children), babysitting, au pair (nanny), caring for family members and/or friends, volunteer work, observation hours, internship/externship (unpaid), and volunteer work is NOT considered PAID experience and will not be acceptable in lieu of paid experience.
