Cenpatico/ABA offers an exciting array of professional opportunities for Special Education Teacher Assistants. Cenpatico/ABA currently operates 5 private school sites in Maricopa and Pinal County. We provide educational and behavioral health support services to children and families with special needs. The disability categories served at each site vary, but include ED, LD, MIMR/MOMR, MD, HI, and Autism.
We are looking for:
Teacher Assistants for the Chandler & Dysart campus self-contained classrooms.
Position Purpose:
Perform duties to ensure students are properly supervised in time out areas and assist teachers with classroom activities. Train staff on proper behavior management techniques.
Position Responsibilities:
* Prepares and implements classroom activities under the supervision of the teacher.
* Performs clerical duties as assigned.
* Assists with non-instructional classroom duties.
* Assists in appropriate, non-harmful interventions and escorts (as trained).
* Maintains appropriate supervision of students.
* Maintains daily classroom attendance logs and completes daily point sheets.
Skills / Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree preferred. Previous experience working in education or behavioral health field preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
Licenses/Certifications: DPS Fingerprint Clearing Card or ability to obtain required. Child CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
