Duties and Responsibilities:
The Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College seeks a qualified individual to work collaboratively with the Teachers College faculty, staff and student population to develop, coordinate and implement a variety of programs that will enhance the recruitment and retention of graduate students.

-Develops and implements marketing strategies and activities such as mailings and publications/flyers that focus primarily on the successful recruitment of graduate students.
-Plans and develops objectives for recruitment/retention purposes and participates in policy and procedure development.
-Assists division in identifying market trends that could potentially affect recruiting strategies.
-Creates and disseminates informational and recruiting material (such as letters, flyers and brochures) to prospective and/or continuing students.
-Prepares reports documenting activities on a monthly basis.
-Identifies target populations; develops visitation schedules in-state and visits target schools, agencies or conferences to meet with prospective students, counselors and administrators; discusses university program offerings and answers questions concerning curriculum and enrollment procedures.
-Establishes relationships with school administrators to facilitate the recruitment of scholars.
-Gives presentations to groups on various subjects related to programs, admission, and scholarships.
-Represents the program by giving presentations at various activities such as college fairs and community meetings.
-Works to generate student leads interested in Master's programs through various face to face, phone, and online venues providing program benefits and admissions requirements.
-Maintains effective communication with prospective students regarding degree programs.
-Manages prospective students by maintaining extensive contacts; monitoring application progress from start to completion, identifying and resolving problems and conducting student related internal meetings. (Maintains an applicant management system to track new information on prospective students).
-Documents students' visits and maintains appropriate files; provides statements of services provided and specifics on students' cases.
-Improves student retention rate by tracking progress of students through program and counsels students regarding personal and/or academic issues; refers to other sources of counseling as needed.
-Works collaboratively with the central administration to coordinate communication and recruitment efforts.
-Maintains updated and accurate electronic records of communications and marketing efforts in the campus' candidate management system.
-Lifts and carrys 25 pounds.
-Needs to travel to other campuses and recruitment events.
-Performs other duties as assigned

DAYS AND SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM

Skills / Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment and three (3) years of related experience; OR, Seven (7) years of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of:
-marketing/selling techniques and methods for marketing in a higher education setting;
-principles and practices of recruitment;
-current issues and trends in graduate education and related admission practices;
-graduate admissions practices and principles, organization and administration;
-federal regulations pertaining to international students;
-customer service skills.

Experience in:
-running and creating reports;
-knowledge of computer software programs and data management systems;
-designing presentation materials and giving oral presentation in group setting;
-maintaining effective working relationships.

Evidence of effective written and verbal communication skills.
