Jobing Description

Immediately seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work with other members of our product development team, structural and electrical engineers, marketing, manufacturing and supply chain. You will be responsible for the mechanical design for all aspects of wind turbine components, tower and accessories. Reports to the VP of Engineering. Position can be contract, temp to hire and regular.

Skills / Requirements

Requires a creative mindset towards design under multiple and often conflicting requirements and constraints. Must e well organized and methodical in approach,
e familiar with relevant ASME standards related to CAD modeling and drawings and have a deep working knowledge of SolidWorks and associated software. Requires at least 5-10 years of work experience in the design of mechanical or structural components for industrial or aerospace equipment. Requires experience in conceptualization, detailed design and analysis, CAD modeling, design for manufacturability and serviceability and working effectively with quality teams and outside suppliers. Experience with design of rotating machinery components and designing with composite materials is a plus.
