A Place to Call Home has an immediate opening for a Respite Coordinator. The ideal applicant has a minimum of an Associates or comparable Degree or certification in a clerical or administrative assistant capacity. Preferred candidate will have experience working specifically in a social services related field, experience in a clerical capacity, excellent customer service/phone skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task and maintain detailed and accurate documentation. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus!
This position is primarily responsible for the training and supervision of certified respite providers, coordinating respite services for A Place to Call Home foster and adoptive families as well as for external customers, tracking respite services and processing respite staff payroll.
Candidate must have excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, computer and time-management skills, a flexible schedule and a passion for supporting foster/adoptive families, children, youth and adults, especially those with special needs and developmental disabilities.
Skills / Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 3 years professional experience in clerical/administrative assistant capacity
Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (obtain & maintain)
FBI background check clearance
Excellent computer skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to deliver training individually and to groups
Ability to multi-task
Ability to meet due dates and timelines
Flexible schedule
Ability to understand/maintain professional boundaries
