Job Details:Monitor Tech/Unit Secretary/Patient Care Assistant
Overview: Position identifies and communicates cardiac rhythm irregularities to other team members. This position provides for coverage and observation of cardiac monitors. Communicates changes in cardiac rhythm and recognition of life threatening dysrhthymias. Provides clerical and unit support functions to promote an organized, efficient and smooth functioning unit. Supports hospital patient/care units. Attends nursing stations and performs clerical and reception duties and other services as directed.

Special Skills: Excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills. Ability to interpret and analyze electrocardiogram rhythms.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Completion of a Cardiac Monitor Technician program designed for unlicensed health care providers. Completion of a basic EKG course or EKG exam required. Completion of a cardiac monitor technician program designed for unlicensed health care providers. Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license. CPR.

Preferred Qualifications: Six months experience in a hospital setting as a Monitor Tech, Unit Secretary, and/or CNA.
