Jobing Description

The marketing/product development analyst Medicare will be responsible for data extraction, modeling and analyses to develop and support Medicare product innovation with health plan and employer group clients. This position will will develop strategic recommendations for program roll-outs and evolutions based on data and financial analysis. This person will have a high degree of individual responsibility and will be expected to become the data expert, develop analysis independently and drive analysis to strategic recommendations. In addition to supporting the development and commercialization of new products, this position will also support the ongoing execution and improvement of direct to consumer product management programs such as retail to mail.

BS/BA Degree. MBA desirable

* Minimum 9+ years experience in data extraction (SQL/SAS), analysis and modeling required.
* Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with significant relevant experience.
* Advanced skill with spreadsheets, databases and presentation software. Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and PowerPoint.
* Ability to clearly communicate analytical needs and results. Must have ability and experience in identifying implications of the analyses, determining impact on strategy and recommending a course of action.
* Understanding of PBM economic drivers (costs, profitability drivers, industry dynamics) preferred.
* Experience with designing and analyzing direct to consumer marketing/mail programs strongly preferred.
* Understanding of Medicare drug plans preferred.

* Perform advanced quantitative analyses (spreadsheet/database modeling, data analysis, etc) to inform key strategic decisions and define evolution and growth plans for Medicare programs
Develop hypotheses for testing, design analytics for test and control direct to consumer marketing campaigns, and analyze results. Develop key insights to evolve learnings and enhance program economics.

* Identify and recommend product innovations and improvements for Medicare product offerings through analysis of competitors' offerings, customer requests and internal capabilities.
Define data needs and structure to present financial analsyis in support of business cases for product rollout recommendations.

* Develop presentations to communicate findings, illustrate key insights and influence decision makers.

* Develop and provide analysis to identify strategic trends and actionable customer insights based on a clear understanding of business objectives. Analyze and identify business development opportunities. Produce reports and presentations to communicate statistical and financial findings to various levels of the organizations. Continuously recommend new and better ways to use customer data to improve business.

* Collaborate with key stakeholders across organization including sales, marketing, operations, regulatory, compliance and finance to quantify business and customer needs and produce relevant, actionable data, analysis and recommendations. Share results and generate alignment.

* Execute qualitative research and problem-solving, such as market research, operational processes, and systems interaction.

Knowledge and Skills:

*Ability to logically structure complex quantitative analysis with little oversight. This position will involve data pulling as well as data modeling and database analysis.
* Ability to clearly determine analytical needs to support a business case or drive decision making. Ability to structure analysis, drive to an answer and recommend a course of action based on analysis.
*Demostrated ability of independent judgment and initiative; must be able to work independently with limited supervision
*Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, with capacity to identify and readjust priorities as needed. Must consistently meet deadlines.
*Ability to work with key stakeholders on other teams to determine appropriate data needs, sources and required analysis.
*Good communication and writing skills
*Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
