Emerge Center Against Domestic Abuse

Organizational Profile

Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse brought together two outstanding, respected organizations April 1, 2008 to create one dynamic agency serving domestic abuse survivors in Southern Arizona.  Brewster Center Domestic Violence Services, founded in 1963 as a residential program for unwed mothers, began operating a domestic abuse shelter for women and children in 1982.  Tucson Centers for Women and Children has been providing domestic abuse services since 1975.

Our Mission

Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse is dedicated to stopping the cycle of domestic abuse and providing an environment and resources for victims and survivors of all types of abuse on their journey toward healing and self empowerment.

Our Vision

To improve and expand services to all members of a family, and community, who are experiencing violence in their lives. Many people do not recognize the difference between healthy disagreements and violent outbursts, from feeling powerless to being empowered.

Our roots are strong. And our future is even stronger.
