Jobing Description
Title: Community Impact Coordinator
Department: Community Impact Reports to: Vice President, Community Impact; Director Early Childhood Other: Fulltime, Non-Exempt, Eligible for benefits, Salary Range: $32,500 - $36,100 Position Summary: Lead and support key projects around the Financial Stability Partnership Initiative. Organize FSP committee meetings, collect data, and provide assistance to key partners. Act as primary liaison between Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Site Coordinators and VSUW. Work as team member for Early Childhood and Quality Improvement Projects. Assume primary responsibility for ongoing input and maintenance of data system for Quality First including acting as liaison with First Things First and Subcontractors on issues related to data. Provide other assistance to Early Childhood Programs as requested. Summary of Responsibilities: Financial Stability Partnership Initiative Projects o Work with marketing to create appropriate materials around initiative. o Carry out strategies identified as priorities in report. o Develop opportunities to increase financial education through work, school, and community. o Participate in development of business case to connect Financial Stability strategies in the workplace. Financial Stability Partnership Initiative Committee Support o Provide sufficient staff support for FSP advisory committee and focus area committees. o Develop and carry out key events to further FSP initiative progress and community buy-in. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Site Liaison o Serve as primary liaison between the key partners around free tax preparation sites, including city coordinators, IRS, free tax preparation sites, Community Information and Referral, DES, and state and local coalitions. o Review reports to ensure grant requirements are being met. o Maintain information for project completion including surveys, grant reports, meeting agendas and site coordinator evaluation data. o Compile reports to send to Bank of America as required to fulfill contact. o Evaluate data entered by Americorps member to comply with Bank of America grant. o Work with partners to deliver education around tax sites within the community. o Work with partners to strengthen tax sites by identifying needs and building capacity of tax sites. Maintain data systems for Professional Development and Quality Improvement Programs. o Act as liaison with First Things First staff regarding data issues. o Act as liaison with subcontractors regarding data issues. o Input and maintain data in VSUW system. o Cross check data with FTF system. o Problem solve data discrepencies Support Quality First and Professional Development Team members o Provide regular and varied data reports to the team to allow assessment and monitoring of program status. o Participate in discussions and assist in problems solving regarding program progress and barriers. o Perform other tasks as requested to facilitate project implementation Participate with external constituents to facilitate project implementation o Attend meetings with First Things First regarding program implementation o Attend meetings with subcontractors to continually develop and improve program delivery o Provide data reports to facilitate understanding of program status and needs Skills / Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to conceptualize and develop strategies. • Multi-task oriented with an attention to details. • Proficiency in database design, project planning tools and all other Microsoft products. • Ability to analyze and process confidential data. Technical Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Requirements: • Microsoft 2007 Other Requirements: • Education – Bachelors in Social Services discipline or related field or equivalent experience. • Experience – two years non profit or financial services experience. • Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities to do the job. • Valid Arizona driver’s license, proof of auto insurance coverage, daily access to personal vehicle.
