Job: Research Coordinator - Surgery

Medical Professional Associates of Arizona, "MedPro," was founded in 1994. MedPro is one of the largest multi-specialty groups of physicians in Arizona, offering accessible and comprehensive medical care for patients throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan area.

The Research Coordinator analyzes and evaluates clinical data. Ensures compliance with protocol and overall clinical objectives. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job. Works under the supervision of the Manager of Burn and Surgery Research and the Medical Director of Burn and Surgery Research. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities include review of protocols, site preparation for sponsor approval, IRB application process, patient screening and recruitment, patient enrollment, conducting study visits, maintaining and dispensing drug supplies, completing and assuring quality of case report forms, maintaining source documents, ensuring site quality, regulatory functions.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION TRAINING: Current Arizona Drivers License, CPR

SPECIAL SKILLS: Excellent communication (oral and written) skills. Proficient in medical terminology. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Applications, Access and Excel. Excellent project management skills and interpersonal communication abilities. Bilingual a plus.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Experience, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Associate Degree preferably in Science.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Registered Nurse or Baccalaureate Degree preferably in Science

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year of clinical research experience or 1 year or more in an acute care setting

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years of clinical research experience
