Jobing Description
A New Leaf, a non profit agency is seeking a Medical Front Office Support for their outpatient counseling center in Mesa, AZ

SCHEDULE: Full Time. Mondays to Fridays. 8:00AM to - 5:00 PM. Hours might vary according to program needs.


PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: General duties and responsibilities will
include, but are not limited to:

1. Support the medical department in completing medical documentation, but will also support other administrative functions when needed such as answering the phones and check in/scheduling at the medical front desk.
2. Process incoming calls, screen, research and respond to requests, refer calls to appropriate personnel and retrieve voice mail.
3. Maintain medical records
4. Prepare minutes of meetings as required by program needs.
5. Develops and maintains records and files in an organized accurate manner.
6. Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve quality.
7. Performs clerical and administrative duties for program staff including filing, typing, composing, drafting and preparing correspondence/memorandums, and compiling a variety of reports.
8. Must have the ability to provide pleasant and professional customer services skills on the phone and in person, working with a diverse population.
9. Must be detailed, organized and able to handle multiple projects at the same time.
10. Possess knowledge and understanding of standard office equipment.
11. Notifies staff as to meetings and/or trainings available and dates, along with agency compliance requirements and other pertinent information.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
Any offer of employment with A New Leaf is contingent upon a successful consumer report to include verification of employment, Driving records, & criminal background search.

Skills / Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
1) HS/GED Degree required. Associates degree preferred.
2) Strong communications skills critical, both verbally and in writing.

3) Two plus years of medical clerical/office experience required.

4) Experience in Behavioral Health or related field a plus
5) Good MS office software skills required.
6) Experience in working in a medical office or medical records a plus
7) Clean driving records with no driving restrictions required.
8) Must be a detail oriented person
9) Able to work independently with little supervision

The following requirements must be met:
1. Must meet the following driving insurability guidelines: maximum of 1 moving violation in the last 3 yrs in combination w/one at fault accident OR maximum of 2 moving violations in the 3yrs w/no at fault accidents OR maximum of 2 at fault accidents in the last 3 yrs w/no moving violations; All drivers must be licensed for at least 3yrs.

2. Must successfully pass a criminal background check for the purpose of obtaining DPS Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card. A New Leaf will assist you with your fingerprinting at your intake session. If you are currently on probation DPS may deny your Class 1 Clearance and you may be terminated from your employment upon verification of the denial from DPS. 3. Must have a Valid Arizona Driver licen

4. The Office of Behavioral Health and Licensing (OBHL) requires that employee is at least 21 years of age.
