Job: Bar Back

Position Summary:

Under direct supervision of the Front of House Supervisor, fills requisitions and stocks all bar products for Bartenders and Beverage Servers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Transport beer to the bars from the warehouse.

Responsible for stocking bar with ice.

Cleans and sterilizes glasses, bar equipment, bar mats, showroom bar, fountain guns (liquor, soda, and juice) on a continual basis, and is responsible for the safe, clean and sanitary environment of the bar area.

Learns the keg systems and replaces empty beer kegs.

Stocks liquor, beer, and bar supplies on a continual basis.

Learn and know the Arizona State Liquor Laws.

Puts away all bar stock on delivery days and keeps the storage areas neat and tidy at all times. Stock supplies from refrigerators and storerooms in the bars.

Empties trash and helps ensure cleanliness of bar area.

Works according to procedures of the Casino.

Maintains good communication with co-workers and maintains a positive and professional work environment.

Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.

Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED plus some customer service experience. Must be 19 years of age. Must be able to read and write basic English. No felony, theft, or stealing convictions. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, background investigation, tips certification, and obtain and maintain a gaming license.

• Knowledge bar maintenance operations and customer service.

• Ability to routinely lift 60 lbs.

• Obtain and maintain a food handlers permit.
• Ability to lift or move 60 pounds.
• Ability to change out Co2 tanks.


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand for extended periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, push and pull. The employee occasionally is required to sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Work Environment:

Work is generally performed in a Bar and Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Evening and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
