Jobing Description
Assists and directs projects related to work process improvements, system enhancements and productivity issues.
Researches, writes, edit and/or distribute time sensitive and important communication affecting front-line ACS employees. Conducts work process research, analyzes the data and recommends improvements to processing routines and workflow. Manages the implementation of approved changes. Analyzes QIK Check processing routines, recommends system enhancements, writes supporting documentation and coordinates system/process testing. Writes detailed instructions regarding work flow processes and coordinates with the training department for applicable training needs. Analyses and benchmarks industry trends to drive best practices, processes and enhancements Utilizes project management tools and techniques to achieve project milestones in a timely manner Communicates project status to business leaders and other departments as necessary via presentations and other business documents. Prepares cost savings and analysis and business plan justifications for new processes, products and / or technology. Act as primary point of contact for front-line airport staff and all areas of management and other departments within US Airways for daily support and to report system problems or clarification on policy/procedure. Works with other departments within the company representing Airport Customer Service on new initiatives Represents US Airways at industry meetings (IATA, ATA, ATAC, etc) and with Star Alliance as needed. Performs additional functions to support departmental and corporate objective as required. Skills / Requirements
Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience / training.
At least 3 years work experience in an analyst position At least 3 years airline experience with 1 year minimum experience in an airport operation using the QIK product and/or native Shares Experience dealing with federal regulatory agencies In-depth knowledge or airline industry standards Solid understanding of US domestic and international policy and procedures Ability to analyze requirements, solve problems and carry projects to completion with minimal supervision Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong quantitative skills, analytical skills, problem solving skills and organizational abilities Ability to work under pressure, prioritize projects and meet deadlines, while balancing the big picture with requisite details and maintaining flexibility Must be a team player, committed to working toward department and company goals Proficient in the use of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Project, Outlook) Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice as required by the job; overnights will be required.
