Arizona Regional Medical Center is looking to hire an experienced Cash Posting Specialist.
Summary: Responsible for the timely and accurate posting of patient and insurance payments, insurance write-offs, charge adjustments, deductibles, copays, and non-covered or denied services. Reviews EOB and patient payments to determine any possible overpayments and recommends refunds to the Director. Assure appropriate and timely write-off of all account adjustments. Assure appropriate handling of non-payment EOB’s and denial requests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Interact with patients, hospital personnel, insurance carriers and other staff to obtain resolution to patient accounts. • Ensure smooth and efficient posting of all insurance and patient payments to the appropriate account. • Researche all unidentified payments and handles accordingly. • Processe all patient credit card payments. • Balance all cash receipts and deposits daily. • Responsible for sending Daily Cash Report to appropriate upper management. • Prepare deposit slip for all patient cash. • Review credit balance report daily to assure contractuals are posted correctly and to timely refund insurance companies and patients. . • Review and compiles Medicare Credit Report Quarterly. • Maintain bank of coinage for change purposes. Skills / Requirements
Qualifications:
• Must have a minimum of 2 years Hospital Cash Posting. • Must be detailed oriented, have strong analytical skills and be passionate about customer service. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Knowledge of CMS and AHCCCS and other payer remits to accurately post payments, adjustments and denials. • In depth knowledge of third party payer reimbursement policies. • HMS/SSI experience preferred • Experience with multiple systems, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, and Power Point. • Data analysis skills are essential. • Ability to work effectively and establish rapport with clients, payer representatives, physicians, attorneys, co-workers. Education/Experience: High School diploma, College degree preferred |
