The Information Assurance Operations manufacturing engineering section seeks a Senior MFG Engineer to support the development, enhancement and maintenance of a variety of space products. Will be responsible for supporting manufacturing engineering related activities from producibility through production. Responsibilities include concurrent engineering development, product launch, implementing preferred manufacturing processes, modifying manufacturing plans, optimizing/maintaining process flow information; estimating and tracking production and development costs, assessing and mitigating potential manufacturing risks; and resolving day to day manufacturing related problems.

BS Degree in a technical field related to manufacturing +5 years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience.
Works as individual technical contributor, or as leader of a small design or test team. Performs detailed design and test of software, electrical or mechanical subsystems. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Implements and analyzes manufacturing engineering plans and projects. Designs, develops and transfers manufacturing engineering tools, strategies and systems. Develops manufacturing engineering plans and strategies for specific products andprocesses. Researches and analyzes data, such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application. Begins to identify domain of expertise.Plans and executes project tasks. Provides direction when required.
Applies technical concepts to specific tasks.
Establishes peer-to-peer mentoring relationships.
Owns project interdependencies.
Works to optimize tasks and resources in support of project(s).
Increases understanding of process applications within domain of expertise Participates in continuous process improvement efforts.
Effectively balances risks taken with sound logic under own initiative.
Solution-oriented approach to analyzing technical problems that affect team.
Regular contact with senior levels of internal work groups within a project and across a single engineering dept. Travel to customers/suppliers may be required. Participates well in team projects and interacts well with others to produce positive group results. Basic knowledge of SMT processes, backend assembly processes, manufacturing cause and corrective action, production readiness reviews, Design of Assembly, Design of Experiments, developing schedules and budgets, tooling design, and statistical process controls is preferred but not required. High Reliability Hardware Systems experience is required. A Secret DoD security clearance is strongly desired.

Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance, and U.S. Citizenship is required.
