Rosewood Centers for Eating Disorders in Wickenburg, Arizona has expanded with their newly opened 24 bed adult inpatient facility, and new 14 bed adolescent program. Rosewood’s success for over a decade is based on their ability to treat severe eating disorders with an intensive, medically sophisticated, cutting-edge, interdisciplinary program as well as treat co-occurring disorders with licensed detoxification unit. Rosewood is located on a serene 14 acre campus in the beautiful Sonora desert, just 60 miles northwest of Phoenix, AZ. Rosewood is JCAHO accredited and is the only ED treatment center for adult/adolescent men and women in AZ that accepts insurances.

The Primary Therapist is responsible for providing high quality patient care, which includes demonstrating skills in assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy and discharge planning. Responsible for assessing, planning and delivering care for patients with substance abuse, dependence, and other addictive behaviors. Additionally, he/she is expected to conduct topic groups and to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.

1. Establish rapport, systematically complete psychosocial assessment, gather data determine patient readiness for treatment, change, and determine if a diagnosis of substance abuse disorder is warranted.
2. Facilitates individual and group therapy sessions with assigned groups of patients as well as co-facilitating family conjoint therapy sessions demonstrating knowledge of eating disorders and the principles and techniques of group therapy.
3. Shows knowledge and understanding of individual patient and family dynamics in the early stages of treatment.
4. Is prepared to lead disclosure sessions conjointly with Family Workshop Facilitator.
5. Conducts topic groups, displaying good theoretical knowledge of subject matter and effective communication skills in delivering material.
6. Completes all documentation including psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, progress notes and discharge summary maintaining compliance with the policies and procedures of the facility.
7. Maintains appropriate and timely communication with referral sources and other significant contacts, conveying a positive professional image.
8. Conducts individual and couples sessions.

* Eligible candidates will possess a Masters or Bachelors degree in behavioral sciences or related field in addition to at least one (1) year professional experience in a related field required.
* Preferred candidates will be currently licensed independently or by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a professional counselor, marriage and family counselor, social worker or an associate counselor working towards licensure.
* We will consider a Therapist who is license-eligible, but does not have an LAC or LIC as long as proof of license application is provided within 30 days of hire in accordance with AZ state and JCAHO standards.
