Job: Production Clerk

Production Clerk Full time - FPDCC08

This position will support the Census Paper Data Capture Center located 4427 W. Buckeye Rd in Phoenix. Census production work will be completed by the end of July 2010. This temporary position will also end on or before that time.

This opening is for a full-time position, which will work 40 hours per week. Anticipated full-time schedules will work Monday – Friday. You may specify which hours you are available when you complete the job application on-line.

Once Training is completed, employees will be assigned to their regular schedule.
* Schedules for 1st shift may include hours such as: 6:00 AM -2:30 PM, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
* Schedules for 2nd shift may include hours such as: 3:30 PM – Midnight, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM, 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM, 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM.

Production positions will perform duties such as:
* Process mail through the sorting machines
* Move forms on carts within the sorting department
* Check forms into the system
* Check forms out of the systems
* Perform other duties to support the operation.

Must meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
Repetitive physical activity.
Positions may require gripping, reaching, squatting, crouching, pushing, twisting, lifting, and sitting or standing for long periods of time.

* High School Diploma or GED
* Must be able to follow and respond to verbal and visual instructions or prompts.
* Must be able to read and write and communicate clearly.
* Must be able to lift 20-35 lbs depending on assigned work area.
* Requires Suitability Determination (Government Background check), including fingerprinting.
