Job: Document Preparation Clerk

This position will support the Census Paper Data Capture Center located 4427 W. Buckeye Rd in Phoenix. Census production work will be completed by the end of July 2010. This temporary position will also end on or before that time.

This opening is for a full-time position, which will work 40 hours per week. Anticipated full-time schedules will work Monday – Friday. You may specify which hours you are available when you complete the job application on-line.

Once Training is completed, employees will be assigned to their regular schedule.
* Schedules for 1st shift may include hours such as: 6:00 AM -2:30 PM, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
* Schedules for 2nd shift may include hours such as: 3:30 PM – Midnight, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM, 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM, 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM.

Prepare forms for scanning by smoothing forms, separating forms into batches, placing in trays and affixing labels to the trays.

Set aside damaged forms to exceptions box for forwarding to Manual Check-in/Transcription department.

Position requires gripping, reaching, squatting, crouching, pushing, twisting, lifting, and may require standing for long periods of time.

This position will frequently be lifting mail trays which may weigh 35 pounds.

* High School Diploma or GED
* Must be able to follow and respond to verbal and visual instructions or prompts.
* Must be able to read and write and communicate clearly.
* Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
* Requires Suitability Determination (Government Background check), including fingerprinting
