We are hiring: Borrower Outreach Specialist--Default Loan/Mortgage Servicing You must be an outgoing, personable and self starting personality... SUMMARY The primary function of this position is educating borrowers in solutions and alternatives to mortgage/home foreclosure. Coordinator will work with borrowers and assist with counseling and mitigation of losses through the gathering of data and completion of information packets. Will be responsible for inbound and outbound calling while updating data base with information gathered. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1) Initiate and handle telephone contact with borrowers to gather information, educate and discuss possible resolution of defaulted loans. 2) Educate borrowers with alternatives to foreclosure, which may include deed-in-lieu, short sale, modification, repayment plans or forbearance plans. 3) Use effective listening skills to gather information from the caller to identify borrower’s needs and determine appropriate actions for resolution. 4) Manage account load assignments within borrower outreach services performance requirements including timely and accurate follow-up with an individual borrower. 5) Maintain borrower data integrity by verifying and updating records accurately and efficiently. 6) Prepares/submits completed workout packets. 7) Work closely with Mortgage insurance vendor on packet referrals. 8) Meet individual performance goals and contribute to team and department performance. Skills/ Requirements
Demonstrated soft skills--customer service with an emphasis on empathizing with clients that are in financial distress. Prior loss mitigation, collections, debt counseling or mortgage insurance experience. Experience in financial services or mortgage industry also considered. Must have HS Diploma or equivalent and 2 or more years experience in direct contact with consumers in financial advising capacity either in COLLECTIONS, LOSS MITIGATION OR DEBT COUNSELING. POSITION REQUIRES ABILITY TO WORK FLEXIBLE HOURS. ALSO AN OCCASIONAL SATURDAY FROM 8AM-NOON.
