Job: Therapist

If you enjoy working with children and families send us your resume! Jewish Family & Children's Service is looking for a full time and a part time therapist to work in our clinical department primarily providing direct service to children.

Responsibilities include:

Perform intake assessments including gathering of pertinent client data and dissemination of information regarding the frame of therapy, fees, waiting lists, etc as needed.
Perform therapeutic assignments including diagnostic assessment, development of treatment plan, provision of service, evaluation and termination.
Refer clients to other resources when indicated. This includes knowledge of community resources and skill in making referrals
Provide case management services and/or advocacy when the need for this service is indicated as part of the therapeutic plan.
Engage in family life education and/or outreach services when this is part of work assignment.
Maintain case records according to agency policies and contract requirements
Other duties as assigned.

The following knowledge, skills and abilities are necessary to be successful in this position.

Completion of a Masters Degree in social work or a related field
Licensed or ability to be licensed in the state of Arizona required
Insurance credentialed preferred
Bi-lingual preferred
Demonstrated experience in creating effective treatment plans
Demonstrated ability to use a variety of counseling modalities including family counseling, individual counseling, conjoint counseling, group counseling, etc.
Ability to engage/work with difficult to reach or ambivalent individuals and families
Ability to identify and address the needs of abused/neglected children.
