We are looking for long term, temporary help. The positions are customer service representatives for our contract with the Federal Student Aid Information Center (FSAIC).

Duties and Responsibilities will include:
  • Provide knowledgeable responses to telephone inquiries in a courteous and
    professional manner.
  • Maintain a current understanding of the processing procedures to respond
    to numerous phone inquiries.
  • Continually look for and suggest process improvements which will benefit
    Pearson and our customers (internal and external).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies.
  • Assist with the delivery of internal employee training for new and
    temporary employees as requested.
  • Report problems that occur and assist with the resolution.
  • Utilize databases and written materials to look up and provide information
    to telephone inquiries.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries within the set departmental staffing and
    time parameters.
  • Give and receive constructive feedback on response quality to and from
    co-works.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Skills / Requirements
    High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months work experience in customer service, secretarial or
    telemarketing positions is required.
  • PC experience is required. Experience using Internet search engines a
    plus.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 20 WPM typing speed (will be
    tested internally).
  • Ability to effectively work within established contractual turnaround
    times required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to organize
    simultaneous tasks.
  • Excellent attendance is required.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team required.
  • Candidates selected for this position will be subject to background
    investigation and must meet eligibility requirements. Candidates must be US
    Citizens or authorized to work in the US.
