Full time Associate Professor faculty position for a fully ACGME-Accredited 8-8-8 Family Medicine Residency Program. The program also has two ACGME-Accredited Fellowships in Geriatrics and Primary Care Sports Medicine.
As a Board Certified faculty member with at least 5 years of direct teaching experience in a Family Medicine Residency program, you will assist the Director in all aspects of oversight of the educational requirements of residency training as set forth by the ACGME, ABFM and St. Joseph's Hospital. This will include but not be limited to supervising, teaching, conducting in-patient rounds and maintain responsibilities for curriculum development and maintenance of accreditation. Maternity care privileges are required. You will participate with 8 other faculty members in didactic teaching, mentoring and evaluating residents and medical students in a competency-based model as set forth by the ACGME Outcomes Project requirements. A keen interest and participation in Faculty Development, scholarly activity and the spirit of discovery is essential. REQUIREMENTS: Board Certification by the ABFM, a valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in AZ and the ability to obtain Medical Staff Privileges at St. Joseph's Hospital are required. An MD or DO degree by an LCME or WHO approved medical school.
