About the Opportunity

The Document Control Assistant supports and assists the Document Control Administrator in document control as well as various operations within CBR. In addition, they are trained on the importance of good documentation practices and record keeping in an FDA regulated industry. Over 100 lives have been saved or improved by stem cell transplants from CBR. Every sample we process has the potential to save a life and it is our technicians that ensure every sample can.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Assist DCA in the document control process for the initiation, change, distribution, and obsolescence of controlled documentation.
  • Assist DCA in filing and maintaining all controlled documents according to CBR’s Quality System.
  • Update document binder, indexes, and documentation therein.
  • Communicate with departments regarding Document Change Orders.
  • Prepare training objectives/forms for Processing and Quality Control departments.
  • Print out Processing worksheets.


Education and Training


  • Associates degree (A.A.) or High school diploma with 2 years of administrative experience.


Additional Requirements


  • Possess a strong work ethic and present good work practices in the areas of attendance, attitude and punctuality.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Passionate about contributing to a quality system.
  • Strong proficiency with basic computer systems (i.e. MS Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
