Job: Data Entry-Translation (1st Shift)

***** Foreign Language skills required for translating documents. Must be able to read in one or more of the languages being translated (Korean, Vietnamese, Mandarin Chinese, Russian) and type the translations in English.

Job Description
These positions will support the Census Paper Data Capture Center located at 4427 W. Buckeye Road in Phoenix. Census Paper Data Capture Center Production, as well as this position is expected to end on or before July 31, 2010. This is a temporary position, which does not provide benefits.

* Reports to Team Leader and Manager in Data Entry/KFI Department
* Must meet established productivity and accuracy standards
* Must stay current with all format and procedures changes
* Must learn screen formats and key verification functions of the system
* Read information in the languages being translated (Mandarin Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, or Russian) and type the translations in English.
* Position involves sitting for extended periods of time

Job Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED
* Typing speed Typing 30 wpm per hour at 97% accuracy
* Finger dexterity required to perform the minimum key speed per hour
* Basic familiarity with personal computer
* Basic reasoning and judgment skills, as well as basic math skills
* Must be able to read and write and communicate clearly.
* Foreign Language skills required for translating documents.
* Must be able to read in the language being translated (Korean, Vietnamese, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Russian) and type the translations in English.
* Visual acuity to read and interpret 8 - 12 pt. type, printing, and handwriting
* Must be able to grip and lift up to 15 lbs
* Requires Suitability Determination (Government Background check), including fingerprinting.
