Job: Marketing Communications Specialist

Shurwest Financial Group, located near the Scottsdale Airpark, has been a nationally recognized wholesaler of insurance and annuity products since 1984. We provide marketing and back office support to over 2,500 financial planning professionals across the country. Our innovative products and services allowed us to realize life and annuity sales that exceeded two billion dollars between 1998 and 2009.

Marketing Communications Specialist
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Marketing Communications Specialist will lead much of the development, design and implementation of the overall communications efforts for Shurwest Financial Group. At a minimum, you will require the following skills to be considered:

Excellent writing skills (writing samples will be required)

Working knowledge of the predominate software packages used for marketing communications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Flash)

Demonstrated graphic design skills (a portfolio will be required).

Experience in creating web content with the following technologies in their current release versions: HTML/CSS, XHTML, Java Script, PHP, MySQL and phpMyAdmin, and AS3

The successful candidate must be a self-starter, have demonstrated an ability to take on multiple projects, and be equally comfortable working independently and in a team environment. While initially being task oriented, the Marketing Communications Specialist will be required to understand Shurwest’s core business and be able to see the “big picture”.
