Position Summary:
Under direct supervision of the Surveillance Supervisor, protects the assets of the Casino property, patrons and employees by utilizing Surveillance equipment. This list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Ensures all Surveillance equipment is functioning properly throughout their respective shift. • Operates and monitors Surveillance equipment. • Monitors and records all customer activity at video, table games and slot machines. • Monitors and records all other areas by video camera. • Monitors all alarm equipment in the Video Surveillance room. • Monitors cash handling. • Ensures that all video logs and reports are completed. • Assists in any internal or external investigations conducted by the Tohono O’odham Gaming Office or authorized Law Enforcement Agency. • Ensures all gaming irregularities are reported to the Tohono O’odham Gaming Office. • Maintains a good communication with co-workers and maintains a positive and professional work environment. • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required. • Performs other duties as required. Skills / Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. One year experience in law enforcement, surveillance or security. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license. Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications: • Knowledge of Policies and Procedures. • Knowledge of fraud detection. • Ability to operate surveillance equipment. • Ability to communicate, read, and write clearly in basic English. • Ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service at all times. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. • Ability to operate a two-way radio. • Ability to learn all in house casino games. • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing. • Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and presentation software (such as PowerPoint). • Ability to work in a stressful fast paced environment. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to stand; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Work Environment: Work is generally performed in an office and Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Evening and/or weekend is required.
