Job: Graphic Designer/Web Developer

As a Graphic Designer/Web Developer you will assist in the visual interpretation and creation of Newtek Technology Services’ message and branding statements across a wide variety of media: print, web, audio and video. You will be working collaboratively in a team environment but you will have the opportunity to flex your creative muscle.

Principle Skills and Responsibilities:
• Graphic design and development – surprise!
• Develop and maintain marketing campaigns across a wide range of media
• Working “with” Management versus “for” Management
• Be a source of fresh ideas, insight and creativity
• HTML, XML, DHTML and a strong proclivity towards CSS is required
• Some programming skill required. We are primarily a .NET shop but knowledge and use of PHP is great and welcomed
• Other duties as assigned

Candidates must have a high level of proficiency using CS4, which, as it turns out, is NOT a mid-90’s movie starring Chris Rock (that was “CB4”) but rather a set of tools distributed by a company whose name is reminiscent of Native American architecture.

In addition to the complexities of Photoshop, an understanding of video editing software is a big plus (iMovie will suffice).

All of this should be coupled with knowledge of external (print, web, email) and internal marketing practices and the know-how and motivation to implement that knowledge.

Candidates must have an excellent work ethic and be highly reliable and ambitious.

Must have a flexible approach – and be able to work at 90-degree angles - and enjoy working in a rapidly changing and growing organization.

One year of graphic design experience and some sort of a degree (i.e., Bachelor’s or Associate’s) in Marketing, Graphic Design or Romance Languages is strongly preferred.
