Jobing Description

Maintaining server uptime, system maintenance, and troubleshooting active or potential issues with the use of various tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify, research, and resolve issues found on defined servers to be monitored

Complete intermediate task’s that are assigned to you

Remain available via company cell phone, pager or remote connection during off hours

Skills / Requirements

Internal communication between department(s) on Servers Performance

Minimal documentation skills for documenting tasks and knowledge base articles

A basic understanding in one or more of the following systems and services:

Email & Email Logging

Windows 2003 & 2008 Server

Internet Information Services 6

SQL 2000/2005/2008 Server Administration

MySQL

ColdFusion

PHP, Perl, ASP, ASP.NET 3.5

Virus Scanning Administration and Backup Administration

Must work well in a team environment or alone, as necessary

Flexible approach and enjoy working in a rapidly changing and growing organization

Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and in all forms of communication

Desired Skills:

Experience managing Linux operating systems, windows operating systems, SurgeMail, Microsoft SharePoint, and SmarterTools products

Detailed understanding of at least one scripting language/willingness to learn more languages

At least one-year experience in a similar environment is preferred
