Job: Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for helping launch, maintain and evaluate an aggressive marketing strategy as it relates to both internal and external marketing for our organization. Under the guidance of Management the Specialist will assist in the design and development of various marketing materials, including email campaigns, banner ad placement and messaging, brochures, print ads, marketing slicks, and more. In addition to the mundane, the Specialist will participate in the more enjoyable aspects of Marketing: the creation of metrics and ongoing tracking of the effectiveness of any and all campaigns against several current key performance indicators.

Principle Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain marketing campaigns across a wide range of media
• Assess and metric each campaign started – “marketing direct” sales versus “marketing influenced” sales
• Work “with” Management versus “for” Management
• Work with a skilled Communications team on the best message and how it should be used
• Participate in off site seminars, conferences, etc. as a resource for the products and services being marketed. Not a “booth babe” but a professional representative of the company and its message.
• Fresh ideas, insight and creativity
• Other duties as assigned

Candidates must have a high level of proficiency using the Internet and web-based environments, not to mention Microsoft Windows and Office.

All of this should be coupled with knowledge of external (print, web, email) and internal (social media in particular) marketing practices and the know-how and motivation to implement that knowledge.

Candidates must have an excellent work ethic and be highly reliable and ambitious.

Candidates must also possess exceptional written, spoken and interpersonal communication.

A strong desire to learn, grow, and to contribute to a highly respected company is required.

Must have a flexible approach – and be able to work at 90-degree angles - and enjoy working in a rapidly changing and growing organization.

One year of marketing experienced with a degree in Marketing, Journalism or English is strongly preferred.
