Job: SPANISH-SPEAKING PARENT AIDE for Parent Aide Program

We are currently hiring for the position of SPANISH-SPEAKING PARENT AIDE for our Paarent Aide Program to serve families primarily on the EAST SIDE.

POSITION: Bilingual Parent Aide in Parent Aide Program for in-home service primarily on the East side of the Valley. Full Time (40 hrs/week) with excellent benefits and flexible hours. Reliable transportation and experience in the Human Service/Social Work field required. Opportunity to assist parents and children. Good team player.

SPECIFIC DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This position is responsible to:
*Provide Parent Aide training to DES-referred families, which includes assessing clients' needs
*Assist and train in obtaining services
*Teach parenting and home management skills
*Provide and arrange transportation for services/case plan
*Teach nutrition, child development, and coping skills
*Arrange and provide supervision between foster care and parents and significant others
*Document interaction with family as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or closely related field, or an Associate’s degree with one year of Human Service experience, or a high school diploma with four years of Human Service training/experience.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED:
*Ability to facilitate communication and negotiation skills and teach parenting, home management, and job readiness skills
*A good understanding of case management and community resources
*Good verbal and written communication skills
*Ability to work as a team member in a team environment

PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS: Speaking, hearing, seeing, sitting, standing, keyboarding, and driving.
