Jobing Description
The position manages and provides strategic direction for the promotion of the agency and activities of the Marketing Department. The position is responsible for positioning the outreach to achieve coverage that clearly articulates the agency’s message and successfully accomplishes the strategic direction and goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be familiar with the mission, vision, values and person centered philosophy of Interfaith Community care.
Create great impressions by delivering service excellence while performing all related duties.
Greet each guest/visitor in accordance with Interfaith Community Care service standards and displays “can do” attitude in providing needed services.
Be a role model for excellent internal and external customer service, understand customer expectations and identify how you can continue to exceed their needs/wants.
Direct the operations of the Marketing Department.
Responsible for developing and implementing all Marketing activities including promotion and public relations in concert with President/CEO, Fund Development and Program Operations departments.
Develop and implement a Strategic Marketing Plan.
Develop and pursue all media opportunities and creates media strategies.
Oversees creation and/or agency copy for all (internal and external) publications, press releases, website and other promotion material as identified.
Maintains and enhances website content.
Plan strategies for marketing target constituents (i.e. clients, donors, and volunteers) to publicize agency programs and/or services.
Create a system-wide marketing reporting function that can track, measure and analyze performance. Provide supervisor with a written report on marketing strategy results.
Provide marketing skills and expertise to the agency by building, developing and managing a marketing team capable of carrying out the necessary marketing strategies and tactics.
Act as agency spokesperson, when President/CEO is unavailable. May represent the agency in a wide variety of outside functions.
Oversees development and maintenance of the agency’s Speakers Bureau.
In concert with department heads, plan and coordinate special marketing and public relations events.
Manage the Marketing Department volunteers.
Design or direct staff in creative advertising and media programs.
Works closely with the agency staff to fully address department’s Marketing needs.
Participates in and works cooperatively with the Marketing and Fund Development Committees.
Provides leadership in achieving the financial goals of the agency through the implementation of the marketing strategies.

Attends Board of Director meeting as requested.
Develop and monitor the Marketing Department budget.
Other duties as assigned.


Skills / Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 4 years progressive experience in marketing, preferably within a human service or comparable organization. Experience mush include knowledge of strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising. Ability to meet people with ease; ability to write and edit effectively. Ability to communicate written and spoken work with tact, diplomacy and authority, when necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills. Must have good organizational skills, well disciplined, able to meet deadlines, ability to work effectively with all levels of staff. Computer experience preferred with Microsoft applications, Publisher, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Adobe Suite applications. Supervisory experience desirable. Enthusiastic and dependable. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, operate computer equipment and software and give verbal instructions regarding directions, procedures and perform duties in a fast paced environment.

The employee may be required to lift up to 25 pounds while handling office equipment, supplies and incoming mail. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing these duties the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate.
