Job: Manager, Oracle Financial Applications

Jobing Description
Manage the development and maintenance activities in Oracle Financial Applications, Manage the Oracle Financial Applications Support Team (OFAST) and ensure high user satisfaction with the use of Oracle Financial Applications and the OFAST throughout Ports America and subsidiaries.

Examples of Important and Essential Duties:
1. Understand the usage and function of Oracle Financial Applications throughout the Ports America enterprise.
2. Function as the Oracle Product Leader throughout the Company by presenting new, current and past Oracle functions and/or applications that may aid the Ports America Oracle user community. After understanding user requirements, introduce any new functional features to user executives and their staffs on a periodic basis.
3. Leverage new functionality and technology in the Oracle Applications to gain efficiencies and derive maximum benefits across the enterprise for Financial Accounting and Enterprise Planning and Budgeting.
4. Be responsible for planning, leading and actively participating in design, configuration when customizations are required.
5. Supervise a team of Systems and Business Analysts.
6. Act as liaison between Users, functional and technical teams. Work with our Systems Operations Partner to monitor and ensure smooth operation and adequate performance of the Oracle Systems throughout the Ports America enterprise.
7. Develop process documentation, analyze, define and document functional and operational requirements.
8. Know Oracle Applications ‘Business Flows’ very well and plan detailed test cases and scripts based on the Business Flows to conduct conference room pilots, system integration and user acceptance testing.
9. Train, educate and support end users on Oracle Applications functionality and use.
10. Act as a communications liaison between applications end-users, the SOP and technical teams for any communications to improve end-user satisfaction for Oracle Financial Applications.
11. Manage and maintain strict IT Audit Controls for Change Request and Production Code promotion.

Skills / Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in related field or higher education.
2. 10+ years experience of strong Oracle 11i product knowledge/experience. Must have knowledge of current Oracle version 11.5.10.
3. 5+ years implementing/upgrading Oracle ERP 11i [GL,AP,PO,AR,FA plus self service products] in full life-cycle.
4. 4+ years experience in working with Oracle Financial Applications Development and Oracle DBA functions while implementing Oracle end-user applications.
5. Strong managerial and verbal and written communication skills.
6. Ability to work on multiple projects within the constraints of deadlines, while maintaining exceptional attention to details.
7. Experience with Oracle Multi-Organizational structure and multiple currencies. Global implementation experience is a plus.
8. Experience with Oracle and/or Business Object Dashboards is a plus.
9. Demonstrated understanding of corporate compliancy, Change Control and IT Audit procedures for eventual Sox Compliance.

Physical Working Conditions:
1. Approximately 40 – 60% time spent using pc keyboard
2. Office environments.
3. Some (minimal) travel required.
