Overview: Banner Health, Arizona's largest health care provider has an immediate part time opportunity for an experienced Counselor. This position will be located in Chandler and is a pool position with varied set schedule.& nbsp;This position requires an independent licensure. Previous experience in group programming working with adult psychiatric population. Prefer knowledge of community based resources. Mental health, chemical dependency knowledge, case management experience. ***Position primarily working with adult mental health in an intensive outpatient group therapy setting.& nbsp; ***At least 2 years experience working with clients with mental health and chemical dependence issues*** Responsibilities: 1.Coordinates all aspects of patient care from admission to discharge, interacting with the physician and other members of the treatment team.2.Orients patients to assigned program and collaborates with patient in development of written treatment plan. Monitors patients on an ongoing basis to assess needs and facilitate treatment.3.Intervenes when system failures occur; manages integration of treatment team interventions into the continuum of care.4.Promotes patient and family involvement in assessment, treatment, education and discharge planning.5.Provides direct clinical services to patients which may include individual, family, group, and psycho-educational therapy sessions; documents same in a timely fashion.6.Coordinates with community based agencies to provide optimal level of care post discharge in order to maximize treatment outcomes.

Must possess State Board of Behavioral Health certification in at least one of the following categories: social work, professional counseling, or marriage and family. Note: Certification requires two years post graduate experience in a mental health setting or equivalent combination of education and documented supervised clinical experience. Must be able to work with a diverse population including child, adolescent, young adult, general adult, and older adult populations, as demonstrated.
