Job: Senior Reporting Analyst

Develop and implement technology solutions resulting in increased cash flow opportunities or operating efficiencies. Serves as point of contact for delivering business knowledge and technological tools within the Business Assurance Department. Partners with various departments throughout the organization to ensure the timely delivery of technological tools to improve business operations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Performs monitoring, process documentation, and analysis of key processes of systems being implemented.
Ensures that processes are documented, measured, and accurately reported.
Supports ongoing development and validation of business rules and operational processes.
Assists Business Assurance team in gathering necessary data from the billing system using tools such as MS Access, Oracle Discoverer and Reporting Services.
Partners with leadership on key projects to identify and propose software solutions to be developed internally or purchased from a third party, including research, written proposals, and cost estimates.
Manages assigned projects to successful and timely completion.
Provides formal training sessions, as needed, for new application implementation that re driven by the Business Assurance Department.
Drafts requirements, documentation, and user manuals for applications and processes that are developed.
Performs issue validation, business rule refinement, and root cause analysis of discrepancies identified by internal/external sources.
Analyzes financial and operational data and helps translate into meaningful information with recommendations for improvement aimed at maximizing revenues or operating efficiencies.
Completes period-to-period variance analysis of income statement line-items and provides insight into business trends to key stakeholders (Finance, Marketing, Accounting, Sales, Supply Chain, etc.).
Creates complex ad hoc queries utilizing Cox specified tools.
Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED
Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, and/or Computer Sciences or related field preferred.
Experience: 2-5 relevant work experience with SQL Statements. 3-5 years work experience in data extraction and report development. Experience working in telecommunications industry preferred.
Other: Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.

Familiarity with Oracle, PL SQL, Forms, AS 400 Query, Discoverer.
Familiar with Visual Basic.
Strong understanding of Collections/Billing in ICOMS
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
