Job: Sales Representative

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

After completing our industry leading training and passing your insurance licensing exam, you will be ready to sell an auto insurance policy over the phone. From there, you'll be ready to sell our exceptional line of insurance products, achieve sales goals, and even earn bonuses. A typical day as a GEICO Sales Representative will include gathering information from prospective policyholders, preparing personalized rate quotes, providing guidance on selecting appropriate insurance coverage, and selling policies. We'll teach you how to listen to our customers, identify their needs, answer all of their questions, and overcome objections.

Important job details:

Starting Pay: $14.00 hourly / $28,210.00 annually (with an opportunity to earn bonus)

Salary with a bachelors degree $15.38 hourly / $31,000.00 annually

Bonus for having P & C License

Start Date: February 1, 2010

Orientation: First three days of orientation: 8:00am- 4:30pm

Licensing: (2 weeks); Mon - Fri: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Training Hours: (4 weeks); Mon - Fri: 9:30am - 6:00pm

Transition/OTJ Training Hours: (4 weeks); Split days off, one day off during the week and one day off on the weekend. Your shift will be an 8.5 hour shift starting anywhere between the hours of 8:00am and 11:00am

Overcome objections in a professional and efficient manner

Educate new customers on insurance coverages and limits

Minimum requirements of a Sales Representative:

High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)

Prior sales experience or strong persuasion skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills

High level of dependability

Demonstrated job stability

Strong computer, typing and grammar skills
