Job: Transportation Assistant

Summary:
Provides safe, timely transportation services to CODAC members, in a caring, respectful manner.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Transports members to appointments, as directed.
2. Maintains member records in accordance with agency and funding source requirements.
3. Provides crisis intervention to include location of appropriate providers of service.
4. Performs other related duties as directed.

Position Requirements:
Education/Experience:
Associates degree from an accredited community college plus one year of relevant behavioral health experience; OR currently enrolled in a college behavioral health program OR, two years of a combination of behavioral health education and/or relevant work experience.

Other:
„X Knowledge of community resources.
„X Knowledge of behavioral health challenges which include knowledge of the impacts of mental illness, domestic violence, and the dynamics of addictive behavior.
„X Familiarity with various ethnic and cultural groups.
Skills:
1. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
2. Ability to interact effectively with other service providers.
3. Intermediate to advanced computer skills using MS Office products, Word, Excel, Access, etc., importing/exporting data to/from applications.
