: Develops, promotes and implements strategies for donor cultivation through charitable gifts from congregations and service clubs by relationship building, fundraising activities and attainment of specific dollar amount increases in annual giving. Will be responsible for meeting financial goals as a percentage of overall Development goals. Provides an awareness of the services and resources offered by Interfaith Community Care to assist individuals in need. Serves as administrative support to Area Ministerial Association.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Be familiar with the mission, vision, values and person centered philosophy of Interfaith Community care and have the ability to communicate same to potential donors in person, over the phone or other forms of communication. Be fully informed and familiar about interfaith programs and services currently provided as will as projected program expansion components included in the capital campaign. Be a role model for excellent internal and external customer service, understand the customer expectations and identify how you can continue to exceed their expectations. Create great impressions by delivering service excellence while performing all related duties. Greet each guest, visitor, volunteer or client in accordance with Interfaith Community Care service standards and displays “can do” attitude in providing needed services. Secure appointments with area congregations and service club key members to help promote financial support, referrals, volunteerism and the goals of the agency. Secure donations from Congregations and Service Clubs to help promote and support financial goals of the agency. Maintain detailed records of visits and cultivation activities in a secure and confidential manner. Circulate collateral and information in the community at designated points of contact throughout the West Valley, which include submissions to congregation bulletins and service club newsletters. Ensure compliance with local, state, federal and professional governing charitable solicitation giving and ethics. Must follow Agency standards for processing gifts. Ensure prompt and efficient communication of donor giving and personal information to Raisers Edge donor management system. Design, prepare and make personal presentations as required in a professional and competent manner. Be willing and prepared to represent Interfaith Community Care at public meetings, congregation gatherings, seminars, service clubs, and other group gatherings. Submit measurable goal reports to President/CEO as requested. Identify professional growth education and training opportunities. Actively participate and promote the development and growth of teamwork. Detail-oriented, accurate and precise; maintain accurate filing systems. Assist the Ministerial Association leaders with clerical support and event coordination support for events identified by the Ministerial Association (ie.., MLK service, Thanksgiving Eve and Holocaust service). Research and visit all new congregations in the NW Valley to invite into “Interfaith’s family” as a faith partner. Participate in the organization’s speaker bureau as requested. Assist with special events with other department staff to promote donor relations. Adhere to Donor’s Bill of Rights. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills / Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, Marketing or equivalent Certification with at least three (3) years experience in Fund Development or related field. Two years experience in community outreach or congregational work. Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge is helpful. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, public speaking and presentation skills. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently. Must adhere to “Code of Ethical Principles and Standards of Professional Practice”. Sigh an Oath of Confidentiality, Non-Compete Agreement and Code of Ethics. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
