Job: Health Information Management Coder

Promise Hospital of Phoenix is currently seeking an experienced part-time Health Information Management Coder. The Health Information Management Coder is responsible for the ICD-9-CM diagnosis and procedure coding and abstracting of inpatient records.

* Minimum 2+ years of current inpatient acute care coding experience required

* Required certification (at least one of the following):
* Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
* Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
* Certified Coding Specialist credential (CCS)

* 3M software and Meditech experience preferred

* Understanding of Medicare/DRG

* Strong critical thinking and communication skills are a must
