We provide diversified print and electronic communications which support practice management and patient communication solutions to clients throughout the healthcare community. We are currently seeking a Jr. Graphic Design Illustrator Creative junior design assistant for New Product Art Director. Which includes select Legacy products, SmartPractice licensing products, SmartPractice Clubs, International products, Freelance Liaison, Custom and SP catalog posters and illuminators. Communicate and report status of work-in-progress on a regular basis with the New Products Art Director. Skills / Requirements
Essential functions of the job (in order of importance):
1. Complete pre-production work assigned by Art Director from Add Lists on conversions/remakes of products from one format to another (i.e. postcards into tote bags, laser cards, folding cards, posters and illuminators, etc.), SmartPractice and International products. 2. Act as liaison for Custom print through the New Products email in-box. Duties include coordinating products through normal New Products workflow process, conversions into additional formats and notifying via email concerned departments and vendors. 3. Assist in the Design of products for Catalog, Special Marketing projects and other SmartPractice or International design as needed by the New Products Art Director 4. Act as Freelance liaison by organizing design files and preparing those files for the NP Art Director and then pre-press. Routing, email, changing, filing, converting and otherwise preparing products for normal New Products work flow, from FTP/Server site as directed by Art Director. 5. Preparation of select SP Legacy files as directed by the NP Art Director: Research and correct old files with errors for reprinting and/or update old products into new formats for Premedia production as directed by New Product Art Director. Be familiar with images on the servers and in older catalogs and use CD Finder. 6. Upload Designer or Conversion die files to vendors FTP site and notify via email appropriate vendor contacts and internal department staff. Pick-up overflow work from Designers to build SmartPractice print dies when necessary (i.e. cut-outs, foils, emboss/deboss, kiss cuts, etc.). Recreate Conversion dies when necessary. 7. Other duties as necessary assigned by Art Director. Including new Creative Director New Development projects received from the NP Art Director. Requirements: Education: High School Diploma, college or at least three years work experience in related field such as marketing, design and advertising. Experiences (work or education): Knowledge of printing business, graphic programs and color theory Characteristics: Ability to work in a creative team environment with many diverse personalities. Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, possess good time management skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must have the ability to communicate detailed information clearly. Skills Needed: Macintosh/PC literate with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, various database functions, Quark, PhotoShop, Freehand or Illustrator. Both realistic and cartoon illustration skills needed. Excellent editing and proofing skills needed. Must be very organized and excel at multi-tasking. Good diplomatic communications skills are required along with excellent writing and grammar skills. Equipment Requirements: Macintosh and PC Important Notes
