Job: Electrician

Under general supervision, performs work in the operation and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in District buildings and facilitates.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Makes major electrical repairs and performs preventive maintenance tasks on electrical equipment, emergency generators and machines.
Maintains records and reports applicable to electrical equipment.
Troubleshoots low, medium and high voltage circuits to diagnose problems and perform repairs.
Runs conduit for new equipment in school offices and buildings.Plans, estimates and schedules maintenance and installations of electrical equipment.
Operates hand and power tools.

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three years of experience in the operations and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment.
Knowledge of the electrical code, methods, practices and tools used to perform electrical repairs.
Knowledge of the occupational hazards and the necessary safety precautions applicable to the electrical trade.
Skill if performing duties with awareness of all District requirements.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATION: Valid Drivers License.
