Job: Medical/Health Claims Bill Review Processor

Technical Claims Specialist:

This position is responsible for resolving proprietary system edits and applying contract medical billing rates to UB/HCFA medical claim submissions into Coventry's Managed Care Pricing System within required standards for quality and productivity. Qualified applicants will have excellent keyboarding skills, both in alphabetical and 10key typing with 98% accuracy. Previous medical bill review and data entry of medical claims experience in a health care company is preferred.

High school degree or equivalent
Minimum of one year of medical claims and/or medical billing experience
Knowledge of medical terminology, procedure and ICD9 coding preferred
Able to effectively handle multiple tasks
Computer experience in an MSWindows-based environment is required in which a candidate will need to be able to demonstrates effective keyboard skills and ability to navigate within a computer/systems environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Good math and problem solving skills; analytical thinker - ability to use judgment
Able to absorb and apply new and changing information
Responds positively to goal-setting and performance measurement
Effective listening and interpersonal skills

Previous health/medical claims repricing experience in a health care company is preferred.
