Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) in Yuma, Arizona is a 333-bed sole provider community hospital employing approximately 2000 employees. It is located in the southwest corner of Arizona, and offers a welcome alternative to stressful commutes. HR Consultant
The position of HR Consultant (HRC) is comparable in many ways to a HR manager position supporting about half of our 333-bed community hospital partnering with another HRC who supports the balance of the hospital. The HRC serves as strategic business partner with hospital leadership providing expertise and guidance on a variety of issues: Staff Development, Employee Relations, Employment Law, Staffing, Policy Interpretation, Coaching and Mentoring, and employee survey analysis. The HRC Conducts/facilitates a variety of leadership training programs and serves as a 1:1 coach. The HRC may initiate investigations regarding issues, such as: working conditions, disciplinary actions, sexual harassment/harassment, and employee complaints, appeals or grievances in collaboration with leadership/employee. The HRC will provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolution, analysis of data obtained, and timely report preparation.

The incumbent actively participates in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; analyzes policies and makes recommended policy changes. The incumbent is a key stakeholder in developing Human Resources goals, objectives, and systems. The incumbent identifies, researches and proposes new approaches to effect continual improvements in efficiency within HR and collaborates with hospital leadership for departments he/she supports. The HRC maintains compliance with federal and state regulations and actively participates in the recruitment and retention of staff. The HRC supports leadership with performance management program, organizational development and effectiveness.

Skills / Requirements
Education Required:
Masters Degree in related field or Bachelor's degree in related field with SPHR/PHR certification preferred or combination of experience/education equivalent.

Experience Required:
5 Years of related experience.
