Holsum Bakery is seeking top-notch Sanitors for our Tolleson Food Safety Department. If you have the ability to work in a fast-paced challenging position, then this might just be the job for you. Purpose Statement: The job of Food Safety Associate is done for the purpose/s of cleaning and maintenance of production equipment and areas; ensuring that food safety standards are maintained; maintaining an attractive, sanitary and safe facility; minimizing property damage, loss and liability exposure; and ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner. Brief description of major duties and responsibilities: Aid in the receiving of bulk packaging and raw ingredients; perform periodic cleaning of the ingredient warehouse; bulk silo and liquid tanks; inventory packaging and raw ingredients; perform structural maintenance (painting, patching, floor work, etc.) and general sanitation duties as required. Details of education, experience, and special skills required: This person should have good computer skills in Excel and Word; have good basic knowledge of structural maintenance; be able to climb to the top of flour silos; perform physically demanding tasks; work safely and with minimum direct supervision. Process Objectives, Sanitor #2: The job you perform as a Food Safety Team Member is critical to the success of the bakery by providing a clean and sanitary environment for the production of a pure and unadulterated product. It is imperative that you exhibit and "Ownership" of the areas for which you are responsible and are dedicated to assuring that they always meet the sanitary standards set by Holsum Bakery and our customers. Our customers, the public and your team members depend on your commitment to performing your duties in a safe, thorough and professional manner. The process objectives of Sanitor #2 are to assure that the raw materials that we receive to use in the production of our product are pure, unadulterated and available in sufficient quantities for use by our production associates and to make structural repairs to maintain a structure that is food safe for the production of our products and reasonably free of safety hazards. Regular Weekly Duties
Sanitor #2 Normal Days off: Sunday and Monday Daily 1. Check the daily and weekly assignment sheets and plan to complete duties. Check off the assignments as they are completed. If any of the assignments cannot be completed, communicate this to a sanitation lead person or team leader so that other arrangements can be made to have them completed. 2. Inspect the areas that you are working in for any non-conformances relating to our standards of sanitation or safety and correct the problem if possible. If the problem cannot be corrected by you, then immediately report it to the appropriate lead person or team leader so that it can be addressed in a timely manner. Tuesday 1. Assist in cleaning and inspection of the bulk flour sifters 2. Clean and organize the ingredient warehouse and packaging area 3. Perform structural maintenance and periodic cleaning assignments Wednesday and Thursday 1. Assist with the receiving of production materials 2. Clean and organize the ingredient warehouse and packaging area 3. Perform structural maintenance and periodic cleaning assignments Friday 1. Assist with taking inventory of packaging and raw materials 2. Perform structural maintenance and periodic cleaning assignments Saturday 1. Assist with the receiving of bulk ingredients 2. Perform structural maintenance and periodic cleaning assignments NOTE: The work schedule and job assignments may change depending on the needs of the Sanitation Department and the Bakery.
