Tech I - Clinical Engineering
Date: Oct 18, 2009 Location: Phoenix, AZ, US Job Posting: 7209 The Tech I - Clinical Engineering receives direction from Manager or his designee of the work unit. Gives direction to clinic technicians in area service is provided. Works cooperatively with Physicians, Management, Physicists and other clinical staff. Position Overview: Services and maintains various Patient Care equipment used in surgery, intensive care, critical care, step down nursing units, various diagnostic and research laboratories at all Mayo Arizona Campuses. Additionally, must be competent in the service and Maintenance of general x-ray systems and have certification in one or more of the following major modalities: MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography x-ray systems, Linear Accelerators used in Radiation Oncology and PACS imaging systems. Department: Clinical Engineering Qualifications: High School diploma. Graduate of an accredited electronics school or equivalent degree/diploma. Four years experience servicing medical equipment, and experience servicing radiology equipment required or certificate at least one of the major modalities mentioned above. Knowledge of Electronics and Microprocessors. Knowledge of Medical Terminology, Human Anatomy and Physiology desirable. Excellent communication skills. Ability to operate a variety of electronic tests and calibration equipment proficiently. Knowledge of Windows NT, Windows 95, Excel and UNIX preferred. Must be flexible to participate in the on-call schedule rotation if needed.
