Overview: Insurance knowledge, working with patients, and Home Medical Equipment knowledge, home health, and data entry. Prefer Insurance, DME, Referral background ***Only candidates that meet the minimum requirements for the position will be considered*** Responsibilities: The Home Care Specialist is responsible for the intake of information necessary for verification and authorization of services, enrolling new home care patients, and fulfilling the duties and responsibilities associated with making sure billing information is accurate. Gathers information for certification of medical necessity, and entry of all patient demographics and insurance Responsible for generating the patient order ticket in coordination with the patient and/or clinical staff to assure adequate level of supplies are available to administer the ordered course of treatment. Assists the pharmacy, HME warehouse, and clinical staff in coordinating deliveries, answering phones, maintaining authorizations, documentation, handling of equipment and all other activities as assigned associated with branch operations.

A. High school diploma or equivalent education.B. Requires minimum of two years experience in medical insurance verification.C. Requires minimum of two years data entry experience.
